Coaching

Accessible, personalised support — wherever you are

Online Lifestyle & Exercise Coaching is designed for people who want professional, individualised support with movement and health, but are unable to attend the clinic in person due to health, energy, mobility, location, or other life constraints.

These sessions offer a flexible, realistic approach to introducing or rebuilding movement in a way that respects your circumstances — without pressure, judgement, or a “one‑size‑fits‑all” model of exercise.

Who is this for?

Online coaching may be particularly suitable if you:

  • Live outside the local area or have geographical barriers to access
  • Are managing a long‑term or fluctuating health condition
  • Experience fatigue, pain, breathlessness, or variable capacity
  • Find gyms, clinics, or travel overwhelming or impractical
  • Are returning to movement after injury, illness, surgery or deconditioning
  • Want guidance that prioritises sustainability over intensity

You do not need to be fit, athletic, or injury‑free to take part.

What is online lifestyle & exercise coaching?

Online coaching combines clinical reasoning, education and personalised exercise programming to help you move more confidently within your current capacity.

Sessions focus not just on what to do, but how to integrate movement into your life in a way that supports your physical and mental wellbeing over time.

All consultations are delivered online and last 60 minutes.

What to expect from your first session

Your initial consultation is a collaborative discussion where we will:

  • Explore your health history, symptoms, and current challenges
  • Talk through your lifestyle, work, stressors and energy demands
  • Discuss your relationship with exercise and past experiences
  • Clarify your goals — whether that’s pain management, strength, confidence, or daily function
  • Identify practical barriers and realistic ways to work around them

From this, we will begin to build a personalised, adaptable plan that feels achievable rather than overwhelming.

What your coaching may include

Depending on your needs, your programme may involve:

  • Individualised home‑based exercise programmes (minimal or no equipment)
  • Strength, balance and mobility work adapted to your capacity
  • Graded exposure to activity and confidence‑building strategies
  • Support with pacing, flare‑ups and symptom management
  • Education around load, recovery and rest
  • Lifestyle considerations such as sleep, work demands and daily movement
  • Regular review and progression as your needs change

Follow‑up packages and ongoing support options can be discussed if helpful.

Support for long‑term health conditions

I have a particular interest in supporting people living with long‑term or complex conditions, where exercise advice is often either vague or unrealistic.

This includes experience working with:

  • Chronic pain
  • Chronic fatigue, ME/CFS and Long Covid
  • Arthritis and joint conditions
  • Osteoporosis
  • Neuromuscular conditions
  • Strength, balance and falls prevention
  • Obesity and metabolic health
  • Menopause‑related changes

All plans are adapted to you, not a diagnosis or protocol.

A careful, evidence‑informed approach

As a BASRaT Registered Sport Rehabilitator, my practice is independently quality‑assured and grounded in current evidence. Online coaching is delivered with the same clinical reasoning, ethical standards and duty of care as in‑person work.

The aim is not to push harder or do more — but to help you build resilience, confidence and long‑term capacity, at a pace that makes sense for you.

Accessibility and adaptations

Sessions are designed to be flexible and can be adapted around:

  • Variable energy levels or symptoms
  • Neurodivergence or coordination differences
  • Anxiety around movement or healthcare environments

If you have specific access needs, you’re encouraged to get in touch so we can discuss how to make sessions work best for you.
